Course 2

Supporting Pet Carers following Bereavement

Our 'Supporting Pet Carers Following Bereavement' course takes students further into pet bereavement, we cover the emotive subject of pets grieving, memorials and the spiritual aspects of the subject. The course consists of 4 modules, (details below) and a final coursework exercise.


Entry criteria for this course will be successful completion of our 'Understanding Pet Bereavement' course.


Module 1 - Do pets grieve & When should I get another pet

Module 2 - Memorials

Module 3 - Spiritual Aspects of Pet Bereavement

Module 4 - Supporting a pet carer through Pet Bereavement


We estimate that each module should take about 1 month to complete. This course is 'roll on roll off' so you can start at any time.


The total cost of this course is £249, this is payable in one lump sum prior to starting the course or in four smaller instalments payable prior to starting each module.


An initial deposit of £50 is required to book your place on the course.


The course fees include all course materials, registration with One Awards and a designated tutor to assist throughout the course.


Our course is accredited by One Awards (formerly the OCN) at level 3 for a total of 6 credits. This is equivalent to NVQ Level 3, A and AS Levels, Advanced Diploma (in England) or Highers and National Certificate (in Scotland).
