Our 'Heart of Gold' Awards 2021 is now open for nominations for those special people who have played a role in offering that much needed support to you or someone else dealing with the loss of their companion animal, that special person could be a friend, a neighbour, a work colleague or someone from a veterinary practice or pet crematorium, or you perhaps know of a young person whose kindness helped someone through their loss or showed courage or resilience when dealing with their own grief.
Our 'Heart of Gold' Awards cover 4 different categories -
Category 1: 'A Friend in Need' - This could be a friend, family member, work colleague or neighbour who supported you or someone else through the loss of their companion animal.
Category 2: Veterinary Staff - This award is open to anyone working in a veterinary practice who went above and beyond in their support of you or someone else through the loss of their companion animal.
Category 3: Best Pet Cemetery or Crematorium - This category is open to any Pet Cemetery or Crematorium who went above and beyond when dealing with the aftercare of your or someone else's companion animal.
Category 4: 'Young Heart of Gold' - This category is open to anyone aged 16 or under (in 2021) who was dedicated to the care of their pet or who showed compassion towards someone else who was grieving the loss of their own pet.
Nominations for the 2021 awards are now open, nominations can be made using the form below, nominations will be open till the 31st December 2021.
How winners are chosen: We have an expert panel of Judges who will decide the winner. Judging will take place in January 2022 with the winners announced towards the end of that month.
Our Heart of Gold winners will receive a trophy and certificate from LWPB.
