CPD Event - Pet Loss with Dawn Murray in aid of Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home

Our special fundraising event is hosted by Dawn Murray BCAh - Dawn is the founder of Living with Pet Bereavement and author of several pet loss books, Dawn is the countries leading pet bereavement expert, and was recently awarded the British Citizen Award for her work in this field. All proceeds from the day will go direct o the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.

The event is designed to give veterinary staff, those working in animal welfare, anyone working in an animal related profession, pet owners and anyone who simply has an interest in counselling an introduction to pet loss and pet bereavement.

This CPD event will cover the following topics

·  Supporting others through pet loss

·  What pet owners need & want when grieving the loss of a companion animal

·  When the time comes to say goodbye

·  Explaining grief to clients including Anticipatory grief & Ambiguous loss

·  How others respond to grief

·  Supporting clients Pre, During and Post Euthanasia
