Losing a beloved companion animal can be one of the most heart-wrenching experiences we face. As an empathetic and qualified Pet Bereavement Counsellor (Adv. Dip PBC), I offer a safe, understanding space to support you through every step of your unique grief journey - whether you're anticipating a loss, have just said goodbye, or are learning to navigate life without your pet.
My path into pet bereavement counselling began with the deeply personal loss of my heart dog, Rusty. As I navigated the many emotions of grief, I reached out to a specialist pet bereavement counsellor for help and understanding. That experience brought me reassurance, validation, and space to begin healing and it inspired me to support others in the same compassionate way.
I later completed the Advanced Diploma in Pet Bereavement Counselling with Living with Pet Bereavement - a very comprehensive course covering all aspects of pet bereavement. This training allows me to bring together personal insight and professional, ethical care for those experiencing the pain of pet loss.
I offer gentle, non-judgemental counselling both before and after euthanasia decisions, always led by your pace and needs. My aim is to honour the unique bond you shared with your pet, to ensure your grief is truly seen and heard, and to support you in finding moments of comfort, meaning, and healing.
If you are looking for someone who understands the depth of your connection and the complexity of your grief, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
